Seminars, Guest Lectures and Workshops

The IQAC in association will the departments conducted various Seminars and Workshops to qualify the students with practical knowledge of their respective subjects. In the academic year 2018 – 2019 the following programmes were conducted.

  • The BA students were taken on a field visit to the British Library on the 27th of March 2019.They also witnessed a talk on the Use of the Digital Library. The speaker was Mr. Kothwal Ugandhar, Marketing Education UK at British Council.
  • Guest Lectures on C&C++ and Cloud Computing was organized by the Department of Computer Applications on 26th and 27th September 2018, by Mr. Ajay, a corporate certified trainer from MCSA, NCSE cloud. This seminar enabled the students to be aware of the cloud concepts and its applications in various areas, as well as the streams where this technique is used. Guest Lecture on Customer Relationship Management was organized on 10th April 2019. The lecture was delivered by Mr.Ramesh Chander, Training director in business networking forum. The resource person was fruitful in enabling students with the networking techniques in support to CRM.
  • The Department of Psychology conducted a Guest lecture on the topic Believe in yourself on 7 th August 2018. The speaker was Mrs. Mary Paul, Founder & Director, Vathsalaya Charitable Trust. Another Lecture was organized on the topic A Balance of Emotions on 21 st September 2018. The resource person was Mrs. Swarnalatha, MD&CEO Seshan's Academy Infinity Bangalore. Mrs. Swarnalatha also conducted a Workshop on Looking after my Mental Health on 10 th October 2018
  • The Department of Kannada conducted a Guest Lecture on Basavanna Vachanagala Ondu Avalokana on 10 th September 2018. Dr. Manormani, Head, Department of Kannada, Bishop Cotton's Women's Christian College was the resource person.
  • The Urdu Department conducted Guest Lecture on the topic Adab kay Asnaf on 17 th September 2018. Dr. Zamani Beghum, Dept of Urdu, Bangalore University was the resource person.
  • The Department of Botany organized a Guest Lecture on the topic Ethno Botany on 7 th March 2019. Dr. Abdul Kareem from TDU was the resource person.
  • The Department of Commerce visited the stock market Institute on September 2 nd and 3 rd 2019, where a guest lecture on Fundamental and Technical Analysis of Stock Market was delivered by Mr. Kishore BS from Stock Market Institute. It was a brainstorming session on fundamental and technical analysis of stock markets and their functions. 136 Students of final year were benefited from this
